Postdoctoral Positions

Several of the running projects of the Centre offer postdoctoral positions which are an exciting opportunity to get involved in out collaborative research program and work in a world-leading group. If you are accepted for such a position, you will be based either at the UBC or at a Max-Planck Institute, with the opportunity to spend some time at the corresponding partner institution.

If you want to apply for such a position, you are advised to contact one of the principal investigators of the projects, as listed on one of the project pages. He or she will typically expect you to have graduated from a reputable institution and demonstrate a good scientific background which will be evaluated based on your publications in scientific journals and possibly in an online interview. Also, teamwork and communication skills are a prerequisite for the work in the Centre. Further criteria, like experience in the supervision of students or awards can support your application. If the principal investigator encourages your application, you should fill out the online application, where you will be asked to provide the names and contact information of three referees who would support your application, to upload a C.V. and a statement of research interests.
